The Boy Lost in the Maze
I think this book would have been enjoyed by some people but not me personally I found this book quite hard to read as don't really enjoy poetry. On the other hand, the art work was amazing and portrayed the story beautifully.

Steady for This
'Steady For This' is a book centred around a boy who is trying to become a rapping sensation, and practically raps all the time. I personally found this book to be embarrassing at times, and only got to page 50. I would recommend this book to anyone who finds rap interesting or is interested in rap.

Sophia

Steady for This
Steady for this isn't a book I enjoyed I found the book cringe and non relatable. Its story line didn't intrigue me wouldn't recommend.

sophie

Crossing the Line
I only got to around page 52, it's an alright book but took too long to start up so I lost interest. Nothing really stands out about it. It's not bad but it's not good either.

Aidan

Away With Words
A Way with Words is a very unique writing style in such a way you need to figure out what is happening from the start of the book.

George

Safiyyah's War
I enjoyed the parts that I read of Safiyyah's War. I loved the main character because I agreed with her views on life. I liked the setting however I just couldn't get into it and i only got up about page 160 . I think the reason I couldn't get into it was I didn't like the way it was written .

grace

The Song Walker
I like The Song Walker because I think it shows a lot of friendship and companionship between two girls` adventures in the Australian desert . They both don`t know what they are doing there but one girl wakes up with one shoe on , a plain , black dress and carrying a strange , heavy case .

ISABELLE

Crossing the Line
To be fair I didn't really enjoy it. I found it boring. I know that it happens in real life but the way it was written I didn't like it.

Anastasia

Choose Love

Sophie

Steady for This
Steady for this wasn't really my type of book to read. Although I would recommend it, most of the time it made me laugh because some of the things that were said in there was most likely 'cringey'

Aiah

Steady for This
For me personally, I did not enjoy Steady For This. I found some parts extremely difficult to understand. However, this book was quite amusing. It wasn't neccessarily meant to be funny when Shaun rapped but I thought it very cringe. I can see a lot of people really enjoying it but this was definitely not for me.

Lauren

Crossing the Line
I found that this book was impeccably displayed and that I enjoyed the composition of the words. At first, I found that reading this was quite difficult for the reason that it was quite complex and perplexing. However, upon further reviewing it, I gradually immersed myself in the book and began to extremely enjoy it. This was particularly due to the reason that the author beautifully and meticulously described the feelings and thoughts of the protagonist, which allowed me to truly empathise with the character. I truly recommend this book to others who are interested in picking up a more advanced book and those who enjoy compelling yet authentic reads.

Steady for This
I was quite eager to read this book at first when I saw the cover, however found the protagonist extremely difficult to like once reading the first few pages. The behaviour and the way the character spoke were quite embarrassing and humiliating, in return, it made me find them rather frustrating. On the other hand, I enjoyed how the book depicted the complex relationships and social problems young people have to work through these days.

Aryanna

Choose Love
In this book, the author combines powerful vocabulary with extremely evocative illustrations. They give us insights and glimpses of the harsh realities of refugees, allowing the audience to sympathise and empathise with the victims of these events. Speaking from a personal view, I don't generally enjoy poetry books nor would I be willing to read one. However, this book was superbly written and beautifully presented, in return, it really resonated with me and is most definitely a memorable book.

Aryanna

Choose Love
I really enjoyed reading Choose Love because of the poetry that expresses what it is like for victims of war. I also loved the art displayed next to the poems as it made subtle links to what was happening in the story, such as a silhouette in the art that resembled a boat. It really took my interest because of the emotive story that was a representation of what refugees have to go through to seek asylum.

Chloe

Choose Love
The book 'Choose Love' was an amazing book that peeked my interest because it is full of emotions and poems. Even though all of them have deep meanings, it was still intriguing.

Aiah

The Door of No Return
The Door of No Return was a heart-breaking book and explained this historical event beautifully. I also loved how this book was written in poetry which made it easier for me to connect with the story.

Lauren

The Song Walker
The Song Walker is beautiful book about friendship and courage. The book also shined a light on a culture I knew also nothing about . However I was not to keen on the main lead at the beginning but towards the end she grew on me.

grace

Choose Love
it is a book that makes you think how other people feel in really tough times. it makes me feel sad that these thing really happen in real life. we need to be kinder to new people as we dont know what they have been through. show kindness not hatred.

ANASTAISA

Away With Words
it showed how you can change a community with simple but effective words. this tough me how you can make a difference with something small. you can make someone day or help them feel better with a simple poem. this book was written in a very UNIQUE way. I love it I think it is incredible

ANASTASIA

Choose Love
i thought that the book choose love was amazing and really inspirational. i love the way it slowly revealed the storyline.

Choose Love
The book "Choose Love" is a sequence of hard-hitting poems, with abstract illustrations adorning the pages of the book. It brings to light what many people want to conceal or ignore. Topics like refugees trying to escape difficult and dangerous real-life experiences, bring awareness to things that are happening in our world, and it puts you in the shoes of many children - toddlers - getting separated from their own loving parents. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to educate themselves about things that are becoming buried in our everyday lives.

Sophia

Choose Love
Choose Love is a heart breaking story that will give the reader sympathy for people in that situation. I really enjoyed the writing style of this book and the atmosphere it creates.

Lauren

Choose Love
this in a few words is : choose love not hate. it really makes you think about how other people fell in tough times. this is a sad book as some of it is about war and how refugees fell out of place

Anastasia

Choose Love
I finished the book chose love and in one word found it powerful. I enjoyed the way it told you about the life of a refugee and how it is so unfair. To think of something bad would probably be how the character heals, most refugees don’t heal and the words unbroken at the end. I would on the other hand continue to read this book and gave it a 69/70 as I gave the ending a 4.

George

Away With Words
This is a beautiful story with a unique and different style.
