Away With Words
Away with Words was full of clever metaphors of what it truly means to be thrown out of your depth and to learn something new. The characters were incredibly loveable and unique and although I enjoyed all characters Gala was my favourite-as she was full of quick wit and was resilient when faced with problem upon problem. In my opinion we should all strive to be a little more like her.

The Door of No Return
It was a really good story, I felt really miserable when the colourless men took the girls without their consent .

Away With Words
This book thought out of the box with words blanked out! I am Spanish but if you didn't speak spanish it would still be an amazing read. From the first to the last page you can feel all the emotions and how Gala is. It is a great book not only to show the transition of moving countries but to represent culture and diversity. The story is relatable in some ways with having to make friends and joining a new school. This book is perfectly written! :)

The Door of No Return
I think this book was wonderful, the way everything was written was beautiful and the story was incredible. It really successfully tells a story. All the characters had amazing development and the settings were amazing, however, I feel like the story wasn't finished, I would love to know what happened after, and maybe a bit more about some characters that were mentioned but never were properly explained, but I really believe this was a fantastic book.

Safiyyah's War
Safiyyahs war is a very heart warming book with messages about the strength of friendship, war and family. Safiyyah is perfect for this book as she is brave, strong, independent and adventurous. As well as tackling the stereotypes of Muslims and life at war ,the strength of the family and Safiyyahs eagerness for adventure with a touch of strong bonds makes an amazing read! I could read this book over and over again.

Crossing the Line
This was an amazing book about some of the struggles and hardships of a teenager's life. It showed how easily teens can get caught up in the wrong stuff and how hard it is to quit/ leave.

The Boy Lost in the Maze
The book was alright but be aware, there are some swear words in it. However, I really liked how they compared Theseus' and Theo's life from different centuries .

Away With Words
I think that “Away with Words” was an amazing book and it was definitely an eye opener. I think one of the main reasons it was such an eye opener was how the main character saw words and how they came out of people mouths. I also think it was a very inclusive book as it included not only a girl who had just come from Spain but also a girl with mutism who turned out to become the main character's best friend. It also was the kind of book that I couldn’t put down and that’s what I loved about this book. In addition to this, I would never have known what mutism is if I hadn’t read this book.

The Boy Lost in the Maze
The boy lost in the maze was an absolutely wonderful read! The story's protagonist, Theo, was a very human character and that really helps you sympathise with him on his search for his father. It was also a very engaging story because it brought in characteristics of ancient Greece and modern day England and gets you to almost compare the twos stories, similar yet so different. I found the book to be an eye opening read because it deals with topics like school fights and missing parental figures and helped me understand how situations like these affect how people act. All together this was an amazing read and I would recommend this book!

Choose Love
Choose Love was eye opening and exposed me to the horrors of war and how people are affected by them. It was full of clever poems, and had me hooked from start to finish. The ending being equally heart breaking and clever, it left the reader with something to think about. This story will truly stay with me forever.

Steady for This
The book was relatable in many ways. It had language that you don’t usually see in a book as it is slang so it makes the characters feel more alive as you can tell how they talk. It was informal and funny but you could see a deeper meaning of bullying and poverty as well as mental health. Growls is an interesting character with a fresh view of life. It had serious moments but they were balanced with humour. Overall I would read the book again!

Steady for This

Away With Words
I thoroughly enjoyed the story with its intriguing mystery element and the unique concept of visualizing words.
